In KYOTO AQUARIUM workshops, participants do more than simply see an exhibit, but do not study at a desk. These workshops are designed to ignite participants’ curiosity and heighten their sensitivity by stimulating all five senses. Held daily at the Event Hall.
Learn about life and the environment through activities and experiences!
Visitors are invited to participate in a workshop providing a craft- making experience unlike any other in the world. Dramatically transform materials related to the sea, items that may first appear to be waste, and scrap wood into surprising objects! Through craft making related to Kyoto and aquariums, each visitor can enjoy considering life and the environment in their own way.
KYOTO AQUARIUM’s wide variety of experiential programs
KYOTO AQUARIUM holds programs including the Calendar Workshop, which is based on seasonal and cultural events; the Holiday Workshop, in which anyone can easily participate, and the Teamwork Workshop, in which all participants create something together. The aquarium is also preparing workshops that visitors can participate in over more extended periods of time, and programs where participants venture out from the aquarium to interact with various forms of life.
